GrandpaJohn
Does anyone out there know if the Edge has the same sound insulation as the MKX? My Edge is very quiet (if I leave the moonroof closed) and I read an article that said the MKX had it's own sound insulation (not shared with the Edge). I don't see why that would be since both trucks are made at the same factory.

Grandpa, that's about the same as saying all those vehicles have to be the same color because they're built at the same factory. Mercury has historically added more insulation in their versions than the Fords use. The info you refer to surprises me not at all.
robertlane
This question would be best posed in the Ford Edge employee section. I believe, historically though, Lincoln-Mercury products have had more sound damping material.
