Jackednpumped
I guess everybody says hello, so here goes. I ordered 2012 Edge end of January, and found out soon thereafter that it was going to be a 2013. In a couple other posts, I've seen that 2012 orders were cancelled. For me, I never was told anything about a cancellation, and never signed any new paperwork. I was just told that it would be a 2013 model. From what I can see both models are pretty much exactly the same (except for the hazard button and obviously the incentives) What I'm wondering is, is anyone aware of any precedent with Ford where dealers honor prior year incentives when my paperwork is for the prior year? I hate to be stingy, but it's a big difference. Plus, I like to be stingy. I guess I am happy to get the 2013 for resale purposes but honestly I usually drive cars right into the ground. I've never owned a Ford and generally buy a car once a decade. I'm blown away by this car, but when I do buy, I way over research and drive myself insane. Based on the reveiws I've read about MFT, I'm somewhat expecting the entire console to melt down into the carpet as I drive off the lot. It can't really be that bad, can it? Also, has it been confirmed that the 2013 Edge will come preinstalled with MFT 2.0.? Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it.
Escape06
Any other differences between 2012 & 2013? I noticed the hazard light button seemed to be more of a real button in the 2013 I saw tonight. Incentives on 2011 were not any better than 2012s...at least at the dealer I was at tonight... I took delivery of my 2013 Edge just a few weeks ago and it was upgraded to the most current version. I think ver. 3. something
