Dingo
I had the K40 Calibre DL and a Diffuser EX2. I decided to upgrade. This one is the K40 RL360 with the same diffusers. Kind of a pain to install, but worth it. Forgive the dirt. I know I need to clean the interior. And I was going to take some pictures in better weather, but Atlanta has turned into Seattle lately. The remote: The display LEDs: Front radar antenna: Rear radar antenna: GPS antenna: Laser diffusers: And here is a video of the startup sequence, to show the lighting and sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtLDXaBh_sE&feature=youtu.be
dr.edge
The LEDs lighting up the console are great! Were they much of a pain to install? It looks like you would have to remove the console bezel and drill a couple of holes to mount them.
Dingo
I basically took apart the dash.

dr.edge
I basically took apart the dash. That's what I figured. Once the weather warms up, I can see a frustrating/interesting weekend in my future.
dr.edge
Here's where I put them in my Sport Trac: So, did these come with the radar detector or did you just build out an LED circuit to trigger off of it?
Dingo
They come with it, but the install isn't something for just anyone to do. I don't know where you live, but if you really want one, let me know. I'm a dealer and their prices are WAY higher than what I pay.

At some point I may take you up on the offer but for now I think I'll stick with my 9500ix. Here's where I have the remote currently mounted. It's not quite as much of a heads-up display as yours but I'm going to work on something similar and see how it turns out.
Dingo
Some people run yours with k40 diffusers or blinder jammers. By the way, have you seen this yet? Sounds like a pretty cool idea to me. Edited January 24, 2012 by Dingo
The Outrage
I hardwired my Escort 8500 X50 in my previous car but I haven't felt like going through the hassle of wiring the Edge up in the same way at this point. I've read that the 12 volt outlets are always powered on the Edge, regardless of the ignition "position", which seems like it might make dealing with a plugged in detector more of a hassle. I was considering an Escort 9500ix, however, due to the GPS lock out function. The Escort Live function seems like a novel concept, but I'm not sure how much stuff I would want festooned around my cabin.
specialk4523
Great setup Dingo and very well executed install. dr.edge and I are on about the same rung of the tech ladder as I have my Passport 8500 hardwired into the headliner. I chose to do away with the suction cups and used 2 faced auto tape. I Since the detector is mounted so close the the head liner, it sits in toward the cockpit enouh to interfere with the sun visor. Quickly, what are the current radar bands laser techniques the law is using? It's been about 10 years since I bought the 8500 AND WANT TO KNOW IF THEIRS SOMETHING NEW OUT THERE THAT MY OLDER DETECTOR WON'T pick up. Here's my setup: Very nice mod!!!!! I'm sure they all come in handy!!!!!!!!

Here's my setup: The frequencies currently in use are X, K, Ka 34.7 and Ka 35.5. Check out RadarTest for some good reviews of current technology being deployed on both sides of the radar gun. The Outrage
There are detectors out there which can detect the Ku band as well. As far as I know, Ku has never been adopted in the United States.

Picturepro
I've been running the Redline, LOVE it. Other unsuspecting drivers like to pace me all the time last minute let off and they run right into the lion's mouth
