Buying Edge in US and Bringing into Canada

I am looking to buy the 2012 or 2013 Edge Limited AWD from the US and would like to know if there are any issues with importing the vehicle into Canada.

 

Are there any modifications that will be required to import the vehicle?

 

Has anyone already imported the 2012 Edge Limited AWD into Canada?

 

I also have X-Plan pricing in Canada. Does anyone know if this can be used in the US to get the discount there as well?

 

Also do Canadians get any of the incentives offered to US buyers when buying in the US?

At a minimum you have to activate DRLs and I believe only the Canadian dealers can do that.

 

I think you can use a Canadian X plan pin in the U.S. but you have to contact plan headquarters to set that up.

 

Incentives are always based on your residence, not where you buy, but I'm not sure how that would work for a Canadian buying a U.S. vehicle.
