Z Plan Pricing on a 2012 Edge

I just ordered a 2012 Edge SEL, I can use Z Plan, Is the Z plan price the same at every dealer? Is it a percentage or a price from ford, the car was 37,005.00 and I still don't know what the price will be for sure yet.

Hi Pageman. :D Short version: Z-Plan pricing is the same at every Dealership. However, Incentives and Rebates can vary by region (determined by ZipCode of the buyer)), so final/out-the-door purchase prices can vary due to that variable.

 

As an FYI (again, short version): if you identified yourself as a Z-Plan purchase and presented the Dealership with your PIN, the Dealer is able to (and should have) told you the exact Z-Plan price of your vehicle. Yes, even on an ordered vehicle. For an ordered vehicle, all they need to do is print up a copy of the DORA and the A-Plan price will be listed right on it (A and Z-Plan are the same price). For in-stock vehicles, the Dealer shows the factory Invoice and again, the box labeled A-Plan is the price. In fact, they are required to show the Factory Invoice and provide a copy to the buyer, although many will not do so if not asked/pressed.

 

Speak to your Dealership about their error.

Agreed ^^^^. I've purchased / leased several vehicles with the A / Z plan and every time they were able to give me an exact price almost instantly without negotiation.

Do Z Plan buyers get the same rebates as non Z Plan buyers? And how do you find out what the rebates are for the area you live in.

Z plan (and A/X/D plan) buyers get the same public rebates as non plan buyers. Some private cash offers and restricted offers (college grad, etc.) are not available with Z plan. However, in some cases plan buyers get additional rebates not available to non plan buyers.

 

Only the dealer can tell you the rebates you qualify for as this is based on the vehicle being purchased, your zip code and the purchase date. They use a system called VINCENT to get this info.
