Frisco1522
I have the same deal with my 2012. I have to finesse it to fill it up completely, Had something happen the other day that hasn't happen to me in years. I was topping it off on a slow setting and it actually ran over. Mazz
Sounds typical of a fuel system with a clogged vent. Would be interesting to know if the dealership did a cursory check or did they connect up to a computer and run the complete fuel tank test. KyEdge
I have the same issue with my 2011. It has done it since day one. Starts clicking off with 3 - 4 gallons to go to completely fill the tank. Incredibly annoying. I just assumed they were all like this--if not, I am going to the dealer at once. edgedout
I haven't run into this issue either. I fill up at the same Shell station almost all the time. A couple of years ago I was having the same problem. Then the station got new pumps and boom---problem solved.
bnr edge
I have a 2012 Ford Edge limited with EcoBoost. We are not able to get a consistent filling of the gas tank. If the fuel gauge shows full, it will quickly drop off of full with just a few miles of driving. A dealer has replaced the fuel tank but with little improvement. I was able to get the gauge to register full for a longer period of time but only after I continued to top off the tank multiple times. I added so much fuel that gas was coming out of a relief valve that exists for this reason. Yes, it is frustrating.
