Song title/artist display

Hi,

 

I was wondering if my 2007 Edge touch screen display could show song titles and artist name? I remember my 2004 Escape could do that with a relatively simple radio.

For FM yes if the station supports RDS. You have to enable it in the menu. Not for CDs.

Pardon my ignorance, but I checked the menu and I checked the manual but I could not find this setting anywhere.

 

Could you please be a bit more specific?

It's in the Navigation supplement.

 

FM->Show Options->RDS

I'm sorry, I hate to be a nuisance but I can't find it

 

I can switch the radio bands, set FM channels but nowhere do I see an "Options" or RDS display.

Go to http://motorcraftservice.com -> Owner Guides, select 2007 Edge and view the Navigation Supplement. It shows the screen shots.

Thanks for bearing with me.

 

I downloaded the supplement. There are screen shots, true. But not the screens that I see on my display, they are totally different. My navi system seems to be different.

I'm not aware of other Navigation radio versions unless somebody put in an aftermarket version. Can you post some pictures?

It's a Pioneer avic-d3 navi system.

From the horse's mouth (Pioneer): This model does not do RDS.

 

That is incredible. A box that they sell for close to $1000 and it does not support RDS. Every cheap car radio does that.
