Frisco1522
I'm trying to figure out how to hide the ads by google at the top. I never click on any of them and I have to scroll past them to get to the forums. Nuisance factor.
Scorpio
Downloand "adblock plus" - it's free and works with your browser to block ads so prevalent on just about all forums these days.
Frisco1522
Looks like they make if for Firefox and Chrome. I'm using IE on this laptop. Thinking about Firefox, but had problems with it not opening some things on Google. It's never easy.
Scorpio
Ah! Yea I'm using Chrome - works great with that one at least
Frisco1522
I just installed Firefox and they're gone. How do you like Chrome compared to IE and Firefox?
Scorpio
Gave up on IE a few years back as it just kept getting more and more bloated, along with slower and slower it seemed. Went to Chrome at that time, have never really tired Firefox. Chrome works well for my, admittedly limited, internet useage so I stuck with that. Frisco1522
OK thanks. Sometimes I think Google is trying to take over the world.
Dingo
I prefer opera. On my forum, I put the ads at the bottom.
cal3thousand
OK thanks. Sometimes I think Google is trying to take over the world. You be correct. They want to provide you with every service imaginable so that they can understand you and serve more relevant ads and continue to grow their ad revenue monster.
