One more Edge in Germany

Hello,

I am already reading this forum since July. This week my 2011 Ford Edge Sport AWD arrived in Munich. It is fun to drive this car here, because no one knows the car. Every day someone asks me what kind of car this is. ("Is this the new Ford?") :-) Well, to attach the license plates I drove to a Ford dealer next to me and asked for help. You see that I have have license plates on both ends of the car in Germany. Again, every one was looking at the Edge when I arrived. I explained, that this is a Ford and I am here at a Ford dealer, so what's the matter? :-) After two days of driving (city and German Autobahn) I got 22mpg.

I can't wait for tomorrow, because we will do a road trip to Leipzig (a City in east Germany) and Berlin.

Best regards,

Rene

Could I be the only Ford Edge owner in Finland?

Have been in Canada for 3 years and just returned with my Edge.

Just changed engine calibration using a Max Energy Power Programmer from Hypertech as the Edge is calibrated to run on 87 AKE (equal to 92RON in Europe) and standard fuel here is 95RON. Calibration changed to Premium 92 AKE (about the same as 95RON) and fuel consumption has improved. The Hypertech also allows to removal of the speed limiter which may be of interest for those of you in Germany.

Nice Sport. My wife and I just picked up a 2007 SEL and have just swapped on some KMC 22 x 9.5 rims

Hi,

talking improved fuel consumption,do you have any numbers?? I have 2011 Edge Sport FWD and we get anywhere in between 9/11 liters /100 km (25/27 MPG,either on gas/petrol or LPG,regards Ivan.

Well, regardless of the mileage you're getting, that's still a nice looking Sport!

Have been running on E95 10% ethanol since arriving in Finland and after adding the Hypertech calibration for "premium fuel", fuel consumption dropped about 2 l/100. Does not seem much but around town driving I was at 16 l/100 and now 14 l/100 and on a run at 100 km/h I am at 8.
