Jeffmckie
New member here. I am not sure who sponsors this is it Ford? I Like my Edge 2007 it has 55k miles on it and I am having a couple of serious problems. 1 is the engine started idling rough and when I got it back from the dealer they said it was to do with some camshaft timing equipement. They had changed the oil, Coolant, Freon and I don't know what else. Apparently major work. 2. Now wheel bearings and trailing arms. Warranty still covers the bearings but not the trailing arms. A bill of 740$. My concern is that I have no reason not to expect a repeat of both repairs in another 50K mi. Anyone familiar enough to know if countermeasures are being employed? The TSB to replace the bearings includes replacing the trailing arms so those should all be covered. Did the dealer mention the TSB? Did they contact Ford? The trailing arms are the cause of the bearing failures. They were either defective or had some design problem that has been corrected so if those were replaced it should not reoccur. You might want to ask another dealer about the trailing arms being covered under powertrain warranty due to the TSB.

What is that, Technical service bulletin? The work is done and has been paid for I wonder if it is too late? thanks again. Jeff McKie.
