2011 Electrical, MyTouch Problems

I have been an Edge Limited owner since 9/16/11. The vehicle runs and looks great with a really smooth ride, awesome sound, and no wind noise. The seats are the most comfortable and the phone works great with one exception I will mention later. I have had some electrical and MyTouch problems. On about three occasions when starting the car, the driver's seat began to move forward. On another occasion, the MyTouch system came on, but the sound system was "off." I could not turn the sound system back on with the MyTouch button or the main on/off control. To correct, I had to restart the car. On another occasion, the the driver's console display went dark. Restarting the car corrected the problem. Occasional, the system does not recognize my ipod or SD card when connected. Often an engine restart will allow the device to be recognized. Finally, the phone button on the steering wheel does not always allow the incoming call to be answered. I have talked with the Service Manager at the Fairway Ford dealership who offered to have me bring the car in so they could check it out. He agreed with me that it is almost impossible to detect the cause of intermittent problems such as these. So, I am going to take a wait and see attitude. Has anyone found any solutions to the above issues?

Most of the issues you listed could probably be helped by a software update.

I've had my driver seat try to kill me twice. It kept moving forward until I turned off the car and jumped out. At one point, the dealership replaced the module that controls the seat. It has happened since.

Sometimes the seat forgets how to pull itself forward when I start the car. To rectify that, I get out and move the seat all the way forward and all the way up. That seems to fix the easy entry/exit feature.
