frozennuts
I just returned to Finland after a 3 year working trip in Canada and have brought back my 2008 Ford Edge Limited, not sold here and some changes needed: 1) Front turn signal and park light needed separating and park light needs to be white - Completed with small 5W bulbs in headlights as new park lights and turn signal lamps only operate as turn signals. 2) Turn signals required on side of car (either front fender near door or door mirror) - I found some LED turn signals that stick to door mirrors, wired to front turn signals and current draw is very low. 3) Day time running lights required on back and front - Taped auto light sensor and run with switch in this mode always. 4) Rear red fog light - Completed The final requirement is amber turn signals on rear which, I planned to do with LED turn signal kit as used on door mirrors but the problem is that the live wire for the brake light activation is the same wire for the turn signal function so its not possible to separate the function to allow the brake to remain red and the turn signal to be amber. Any ideas??????
Depiry
You can use the upper brake light for stop circuit and need to separate the signal lite feed at the signal switch so that turn signals don't work as brake lights, remove feed from brake light switch,Marty Edited October 5, 2011 by Depiry
Feirstein
Or just add a converter box used to tow a trailer. Converters are available in the States to allow a red rear turn system in a car to work with an amber rear turn system in the trailer.
