Youppi99
Hello Everyone, we are 5 in our company who have now Ford Edge 2011 and we all hav ethe same issue that when we are on th ehighway and talk with the bluetooth the peoples at the other end of the line keep having hard time understand us and hear like a windy sound!!! I went to my Ford dealer to complaint and they start tryng first by putting isolation around the mike who is now located in the headliner instead of in the rear view mirror like 2010. And they order and change it after but still have the problem. Now the Ford Tech support do not want to try installing a microphone kit that Ford have for other previous model to try at some other location in the vehicle to find the right spot ($206.00 value) I called customer support and the guy told me he go a call the day before for the same problem and that he will talk with supervisor and after 10 minutes on hold get back and told me that not enough vehicle have this problem to go further!!!! What a way to solve problems... Now everytime I see one Edge 2011 I ask the driver or onwer if they have the same and find out that almost everyone have the problem but no one called or use it daily. But since w eare sales rep and being on the road and highway all the time it is frustratiing!!!!!!. I search the topics and try without AC and the same problem the bluetooth catch the aerodyminc wind sound who go over the windshield.... PLease let me know if you have the same problem and if your dealer solve it or if you called customer support?????? Thanks so much Edited October 4, 2011 by Youppi99
Subbuteo
Hello everyone, I have the same exact problem with my new 2011 Ford Edge; when talking on the phone via bluetooth i am sometimes told that it sounds like i'm in a wind tunnel. this happens only while i am actually speaking, if i remain quite no background noise is heard on the other end. i had not thought about Youppi99's theory that it may be due to the aerodynamic wind sound no more than an inch away from the microphone, he may have nailed it! i asked the dealer but they didn't know what to do and i have yet to call Ford Customer Service. i am also having major issues with my blackberry toggling between bluetooth car calls and regular calls resulting in having to pull the battery several times a day. any suggestions please?
