wlepse
One thing I really have an issue with is having a clean windshield. Since getting the Edge I noticed there was one suction cup mark that I thought may have been from a GPS unit since the car was trasnferred from another dealer. I have tried several times to clean this off but can't, but in my cleaning attempts I have realized this isn't from a GPS but from when Ford installed the windshield as I can see (4) suction cup marks in an orderly pattern. I am reluctant to use anything harsh to try to clean since I saw other threads about the dash color being affected so does anyone have any ideas? I have it to the point I only notice it is there is condensation inside the cabin or if the lighting is just right. Still distracting and annoying. fishx65
I noticed the same thing on my 2011. A clay bar with some lube will do the trick.
wlepse
Never thought of that...thanks...will have to pick up a kit this weekend.
Dingo
They were on all of my windows. They're on the outside, by the way. White vinegar with a claybar fixed it all up.
wlepse
Are you sure they are on the outside? Mine do not show up if there is humidity outside but if the windshield fogs inside I can see them right away. Ā By the way Ford (in general) or at least my dealer really does a crappy job prepping these vehicles. Not only was the glass poorly cleaned there was a big greasy hand print on the A pillar, dust on the dash, the hard plastic around the window switches was all spotty etc etc. Edited September 28, 2011 by wlepse
Dingo
Mine was on the outside. If there was any on the inside, It would be gone by the time I prepped my windows for my tint. And yes, the pdi guys suck. I had to come home and clean it after they did. There were even spots on the headliner.
wlepse
What did you use on the headliner? I noticed some but was afraid I might make it worse. Right now the wife doesn't notice (which is unusual) but I am afraid I could make it noticeable.

whimsey12000
Did you figure this out? Was it inside or outside? I too have the same round marks. I also have noticed on the front windshield on a sunny day the glass has " sparkles". You can see across the whole window little tiny tiny spots that sparkle. My Honda had the same thing but this window seems even more noticeable. Has anyone found this to be the same on their window?
wlepse
Our suction cup marks dissapeared after a few weeks of rain. I think the wipers just rubbed it off.
