1duFos
I have a 2010 with no factory nav. I have a portable one that I want to mount on the front of the dash and not onto the glass with a suction cup. I came across this web site that sells vent mounts to fit my vehicle. Anybody have any experience with these mounts? Also I understand that it is against the law in California to mount any devise on the dash and or on the interior front window shield. http://www.canadagps.com/MountKit_Garmin_Main.html also from Pro Clip http://www.proclipusa.com/ Thanks Ron
wlepse
I had a ProClip mount in my previous car and loved it. Easy to install and rock solid. I was a little concerned when I upgraded the GPS from a 3.5" to a 5" that it may bounce but it was great. But I can't comment on their offerings for the Edge. rogersmj
I just used the 3M super sticky mounting disk that came with our Garmin, and stuck it on the shiny piece of dash trim just to the right of the MyFord Touch screen. The suction cup then attaches to that. Works great, all wires hidden, no vents blocked.
akirby
I prefer Pro-Fit-Intl mounts. They're permanently mounted to either the radio screws or the dash - always hidden and very sturdy. Here is one for the Edge - they have at least a couple of different models. http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/Adobe/IF-71-03-G3-p6.pdf
rwolson
Owned several ProClips. Never heard of the ProFit, but looks like a viable mount too.
