DunePearlEdge
I recently purposed a 2007 Ford Edge. I know that the last two buttons on the keypad can be pushed to lock all the doors which works on the car. There is a 5 digit code on a piece of paper that is glued to the inside of the owner's manual folder which I assume is the code necessary for unlocking the doors. I have entered this code on the keypad and it doesn't do anything. I have followed what the manual starts to turn on the keypad unlocking; push in the key and turn once, enter the factory code, hold the 3/4 button while pressing the 7/8 button twice. After doing this I should hear a click and horn but I do not. Is this the correct process for turning on keypad door unlocking? Because I purchased the car used, could it be that the previous owner had the factory code changed at a dealer? Is there anyway for me to know this without having to visit a dealer? fathead
I believe your best bet is looking inside the passenger side fuse box. Here is an old thread with some other potential locations.
