pianistic
I got my Dash Mat. I have a black interior, so I got the black dash mat. There is a 75% improvement with the glare. I would have given it 100% but there is still glare from the center console which is understandable not covered up. There was talk on the forum about the dash mat and that it was kinda hokey and had a dated look, which I agreed with. I do like the look of the leather dash, but the elimination of the glare has to out weigh my preference. There is still a glare with the chrome piece of the center console, but that is easy to ignore and if I it wasn't, I could throw a black wash cloth over it and it would disappear all together. For those interested in knowing more, the dash mat is custom for the Edge. It has a slit for the air bags and an opening for the vents. Heck, I'll just put up a picture so everyone can see what it looks like. p.s. there is a rumple around the console and around the vents as I have not permanently attached it to the dash. I was waiting for it to conform and settle before I did that. Edited July 15, 2007 by pianistic

Bryce
Polarized glasses and looking through the windshield and not at it does the trick for me. I notice the silver trim around the useless little pocket at the top of the center stack sometimes, but it's not enough to bother me. I get similar reflection (that's what it is, not glare, by the way) from the black and tan dash on my F-250 too. Like Good Hands, I['m not into the look of a dash mat either. FordFanInBowie
What I can see of your dash in the pic, it looks a lot shinier than my charcoal dash. I have not had a problem with glare (knock on wood) and it’s been real sunny here in DC. I agree with the others, I don’t really like the look of the mat, but I understand if the glare bothers you.
