Adam Hammet
Hey there guys. My 2011 Edge Sport is currently running 2.8 software. I have noticed that the nav is really slow loading, seek button for radio is no responsive for up to 5mins. Recently when it cannot pair with my Iphone, i hit the connect to phone and a message box pops up saying "Bluetooth is Off. Set to ON?" Is this another reason i should get 2.11 updated! Does anyone know when a newer version is due? Edited August 31, 2011 by _10702

These are symptoms that start showing up just before 2.7 (& above) reboots it's self I'm on 2.7 and will eventually find the time to make another trip to the dealership and have it updated to 2.11. I was reading on the Sync forum, there is a Beta self install version (available to very special people). It would be really nice for ford to have this available to everyone. Its seems pointless to have a site which allows the users to upgrade their software only to be told all the upgrades that have happens are "major and need to be dealer installed"! AH There have been several self-installed Sync updates in the past. And it sounds like going forward all updates will be self-installable once the new rewrite is finished. Patience. Does anyone know when a newer version is due? I don't have the nav system or an iPhone but I do have the exact same problems. I have 2.11 and this still happens to me at least once a week. The only solution I've found is to do a Master Reset. Tech Support tells me I can also pull the fuse or the negative battery cable if the Master Reset doesn't work.
