edgeophile
Took delivery yesterday. Traded in the 2000 Taurus Wagon with 186,000 km on her. The Taurus was a good car, never left me stranded. The last year was expensive, though, with suspension and AC failures. So it was time for a change. Specified a unit built after Jan., 2007 (April). Looks great. Drives smoothly and quietly. Bags of room for my 2 large teens in the rear. Two observations: 1) Even though the rear windows are DARK, it really should have a cargo cover, 2) I was sure that all Edges came standard with a Clas I trailer tow receiver, as per the brochure. Mine didn't. A bit disappointing. Going to start putting some km on it, see how it goes. Hudson, Quebec, Canada

I'm sure you'll love it, as most of us here love ours. There is a cargo cover available from Ford Accessories, but I don't think anyone in here has bought one yet (it's newly available). For me, it's not a necessity. I never used the one we had in our Murano prior to our Edge...and the back windows are dark enough that someone would really have to look closely to see anything back there. I guess you found out the hard way that the trailer package isn't standard on any Ford Edge model (at least...for the 2007 model year...don't know about the 2008 models yet). I have a truck when I need to haul something, so the trailer package didn't interest me. Again...welcome to the gang!
MKX2007
Looks good; I believe the trailer hitch available is a class II.
