wlepse
I never noticed but a buddy riding in the car noticed that the my temp button doesn't light up. When you touch it you hear the beep indicating it changed but it doesn't light like the rest of the buttons like rear/front defroster and dual buttons. Not sure if it is supposed to or not, can anyone confirm what theirs does?

wilsons66604
Yes and no....yes because at least I know...but no because that means somethings broke  It's not broke. It's My Ford Touch. Have you got the latest software update? You could also reboot the system by pulling fuse 29 and replacing it.
wlepse
OK...maybe I need to clarify. I am not referring to the button display state on the MFT 8" screen but the back lighting on the capacitance switch.

You mean your temperature button not the "MyTemp" button found on Touch screen
wlepse
Definitely not on the touch screen but I thought it did say "my temp". I'll have to double check later. But on the panel below the touch screen there are the two knobs, on the drivers side there is a button that I think says "my temp" with a red button on one side and a blue on the other. If I press this button there is no orange back light, but if I hit the rear or front defroster it does light.

I re-read all the posts looking for the model but didn't pay any attention to the title.

Also forgot to mention make sure you turn your lights on, so turn your headlight dial all the way to the right, try that & see what you come up with
EdgeOwner11
It should illuminate (light blue color) when your headlights are on.
wlepse
Well I guess mine isn't working then....tried with lights on in auto and nothing. SO I guess I'll have something for them to look at with the first OC.
tkw
I'm wondering about this myself. I have a 13 sel, and the my temp button does not turn amber when I touch it. It does make the sound though. Should it light up or not? Thanks!
omar302
In my MKX, the button lights up normally when headlights are on, but when pressing it, the light does not change. I believe that's how it is designed, just like the fan/seek/scan buttons, a single color LED. All what MyTemp does is quickly set your temp to your preset one, its not like an indicator that tells you have a function turned on (like A/C, Max, recirculate...etc).
