jacking up the edge

I service my own cars. I did my first oil change. I have a floor jack and when I was going to lift the edge from the front I notice that I was not able to lift the front from the center of the car also when I lifted it from one side it wanted to bring up the rear wheel.

Looking for digestions on a better way to lift the edge....pic are welcome

Get some rhino floor ramps - they work great and are much easier and safer than the floor jack.

The floor jack is meant to be used in the normal location - just behind the front wheel and just in front of the rear wheel. It's not designed to be jacked anywhere else. It will lift up the rear wheel because it's a unibody design and relatively stiff - that's normal.
