What's the keyboard for?

Recommended Posts

I've had my 2012 SEL for 9 months. I was playing around with the settings and I noticed that there is a keyboard. My question is, what is it for? It doesn't seem to do anything. Has anyone figured this out?

How did you get a 2012 last November, 2010? When we purchased our 2011 SEL in April 2011 I didn't think the 2012s were out yet.

How did you find the keyboard? I have not seen it.

Actually, we bought it around December 15th. Sorry I wasn't specific-just shooting off the top of my head. The keyboard can be found in the vehicle setting menu. This menu allows you to choose querty or ABC style for the keyboard. Too bad the keyboard doesn't do anything.

I think the keyboard can be used for NAV entry, so you can key in the street address when not moving. so you can choose either the qwerty style or the abc style for those not used to using a keyboard.
