NWS Alpine
nice man thats the projectors i wanted to use let me know how it goes Ā Will have to get some measurements when they get here and I can open them up. If the TLs won't fit cleanly then I might go with the smaller FXrs.
NWS Alpine
So I have a feeling the TLs will be too big to fit inside without some serious fabrication to seal them back up. I am going to go in a different direction with some better projectors. Going with some clear lens RX350 bi-xenon after doing a lot of reading. They are smaller than the FX-rs and are extremely wide and can handle 55w easy. They are rare and $$$ but I'm going to do it right the first time. Ā Hopefully I just need to fab a bracket to mount them to the stock mounting points and retain OEM adjustments and fully sealed. NWS Alpine
Well if you need help let me know. I do retrofits as a side hobby just send me a PM if you need anything else Ā Did you by any chance get some measurements of the stock bi-halogen projectors when you had it open. Just wondering how much room is in there. You mentioned FX-r which if you think those will fit then the rx350bx should fit no problem. Ā Ā Also what wrap did you use on the chrome. I want to match the stock color as close as possible so I don't have to wrap the entire grill. I can't remember from looking in person. Would the gloss black 3M work well? jwallace410
ABsolutely sick looking edge, from those rims to the lights. It looked like the projectors you had in one of the first pics had the halos around the projector? not sure if it was just the pic or not. Also how did you get the lights to look so blue? is it that the HID"s in the sport are different than the HID's in the Limited cause mind look no where near that blue before the tint. Im going to do the same, paint the lens inside and remove the tint on outside to keep light efficiency. Sorry but all this is new to me, totally tricked out tho. and what type of wheels were they? the grey/ powdercoated looking wheels in the 2-3rd pic? Ive been meaning to take a video of it but havent had time. The wheels are the stock 22s i just plastidipped them which gives it that flat black color. If you have any questions on how to open the lights let me know

Ā I just got the stock projector out and I'm trying various projectors out... so far the E55 and TL fit with least amount of modifications to the bracket FX-Rs may fit, but the bracket needs to be cut a lot. will report back once I get another set of projectors
NWS Alpine
Just got back from vacation and opened one light. Permaseal needs to be banned! Anyways the rx350bx are going to fit fine. I just need to get some longer screws and I have an easy method to secure them to the oem bracket. These headlights are designed nicely for a retrofit. PLENTY of room and very east to retain stock adjustment. Ā Ā The projectors will be mounted in front of the bracket now since they sit about 1/2" further back than the stock ones. Don't want to lose any width since that is the main reason I went with these projectors. Ā
whiteis33
nice! I just ordered another pair of TL projectors so hopefully in the next upcoming weeks i should have that retrofitted in. and yes permaseal needs to be banned haha
cal3thousand
Damn you guys! Ā These photos have me wanting to rip my lights open and throw these FX-Rs I have in there. (I'm on a 24MO lease, not sure if its a keeper yet)
NWS Alpine
I also have 55w ballasts and the epic OSRAM 66240 CBI 5K bulbs. These lights are going to destroy every OEM projector on the road. Especially with the clear lenses in them.

wilsons66604
here are the black overlays I got from webxtreme (i got the special that included a overlay for the steering wheel.) They were very easy to apply. I like them. Ā EDIT: I like them but I'll tear them off and expose the Ford logo if the promised update to My Ford Touch works. I'm at the other end of the color spectrum, and went "murdered" (see my pic album) Ā Ā Cannon

Loosecannon
So does it come in a tiny bottle that you could carry in the center console for little touch ups? Does it dry quick? How the hell did you paint and entire car in that stuff? The pics tiny, but it looks like a cool matte paint job,.. how does it look in real life, up close? Ā Nevermind, you made the pic bigger, but still how does it look up close in person? Also how do you add the picture to your post like that instead of a stupid tiny thumbnail??!?! lol Edited October 20, 2011 by Loosecannon

Also how do you add the picture to your post like that instead of a stupid tiny thumbnail??!?! lol Ā its a pretty big bottle (typical duplicolor bottle) it dries in about 15-30 mins to touch it wasnt that hard to paint the whole car, just cover the glass and the wheels and make sure the car is clean and spray away. you need 2-3 coats to even out the stroke marks and cover the stock paint (in this case red) and to make the image bigger i used the <img> insert link from photobucket imageshack flikr etc < /img> command
Loosecannon
ok,.. does the car look good up close, or does it look like someone did it with rattle can? How does it feel? rubbery? Looks cool from the pic. And did you say you can just peel it off?!
