canadarajah
I have a 2011 Edge that I had to get the battery jumped last night (I left the lights on, oops). It was jumped by Ford Roadside Assistance so there shouldn't be any issues with the way it was jumped. Anyway, it's back up and running but the radio doesn't work. I press the on/volume button and nothing happens. The music tab is blank on the screen. Any ideas?

canadarajah
Fuse. can you be more specific? which one and are you suggesting I need to replace it?
akirby
can you be more specific? which one and are you suggesting I need to replace it? No I can't because I'm not looking at the owner's manual at the moment. Take out your owner's manual and it will tell you which fuse controls the radio and the location of the fuseblock. Replace that fuse and see if that fixes it. Or take it to AutoZone or some other auto parts store and see if they'll check it for you. wilsons66604
thank you, I will try that. Appreciate the help. Ha! "help" he was no help. It sounds like you have MyFordTouch. Not knowing what version you are on, It may help to reboot MyFordTouch. That is done by pulling FUSE 29. Hidden behind the kick panel in the drivers foot well. In later versions of software, the system knows when it needs to reboot and it does it it's self. No need to pull Fuse 29 Last resort, pull into the service bay at the Ford dealership and they can fix it in a few minutes.

And exactly how would canadarajah know which fuse is fuse 29 without looking at the owner's manual? In that sense my advice was MORE helpful. I just need to buy a replacement fuse and see if that works. Do you know if there's a way to get the updated software?

seabee78
I could have sworn I read in the manual that Edge has battery protection by turning off all lamps after 10 minutes?
