akirby Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 I think you are asking if the 2008 Ford Edge uses a relay to turn off the lights to protect the battery (accumulator) in case the lights are left on accidentally? The answer is YES - it's called Battery Saver. If either the headlights or the interior lights are left on for 30 minutes they will be turned off automatically so the battery isn't drained.
