Audio quirk... Any ideas?

Recommended Posts

I love my car

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10 phone with bluetooth connection to my Ford Edge sports 2011.

Playing radio on Sirrus Radio in car... turn off the engine and open the door music in the car stops and my phone starts playing music. It is annoying and not always convienent.

It is now doing it all the time. Any ideas???? Never used to do it.... just the last month.

Same thing happens on my BB curve 9300, it's a inconvenience and I haven't found a pattern either, I guess it's a bug in sync, never happens when I use my bluetooth from my Jabber BT3030 with the blackberry only the car..

Are you running the stock ROM?

I'm on CM7 and my phone doesn't do that. As soon as I disconnect the phone, the music pauses. It's definitely under the control of the phone. When I disconnect from any BT device while playing music through it for that matter.

It's not a bug in Sync. My iPhone does the same thing. You have to go into the phone and change the source for the music to speaker instead of bluetooth, then it won't connect automatically.

I should clarify, I don't use the Blackberry to play music in the car (I have a 16 GB USB stick with the same music in the car) The Media player application on the blackberry is not running at all, randomly when I turn off the car, which disconnects the bluetooth from the phone, the media player lauches on the phone and starts playing (it wasn't even open when I was driving around)

If I do the same thing with my Jabber BT3030 just have it connected with the phone(not on a call or listening to music), and turn off the BT3030, it disconnects from the phone and the the media player doesn't launch or start playing on the phone.

So it seems like randomly(at least I haven't nailed down what causes it to happen) when sync is shutting down it starts the media player on the phone, and starts playing music. I'm sure it has something to do with a buggy A/V Remote Control profile on the BT stack which sync has, as the behavior only occurs with Sync.
