michael.li9
2011 SEL with sunroof. Not quiet as expected when all the window close. When open the rear windows, right or left or both, I will hear a huge noise when speed faster than 50km/h,It looks like a resonance between wind and something. But I can't figure out where. Any idea? It's perfectly normal although some cars are worse than others. Just crack open another window to equalize the pressure.

I mean that noise is huge, everyone will be headache under that noise. I even if open both rear window, nothing changes. I drove Taurus and Caravan before and not experience this issue. My old PT Cruiser would make my brain explode if I had the roof and windows open. My 11 Edge with roof has it's spots too. Are you getting the buffeting while the Big Ass Moon Roof is open? You need to have it open far enough to make the deflector pop up. Without the deflector, it's NOISY
mrdave
Just crack the front windows a little. This is perfectly normal.

I didn't test what will happen when I open sunroof.
michael.li9
Just crack the front windows a little. This is perfectly normal. WHen I open front windows fully, the huge noise is gone. That noise make me crazy.
cal3thousand
WHen I open front windows fully, the huge noise is gone. That noise make me crazy. It's called bufetting and happens to MANY cars as others have indicated. Either crack another window or the roof or blast the fan to equalize the pressure.
