msmdavis
Hi, all Been waiting for the light to come on, pun intended. 7K miles, over 6 months from purchase, still no light. Now I am wondering if it even has this "option"? Doesn't have outside temperature, for what it's worth. Thanks,

hunter306
Man, I hate to say it... but 7k miles and no oil change? Why wait for the idiot light?? I'd say max to go on the dealer junk is 5k, time to get it to the local lube place and get the oil changed! SuesEdge
Hi, all Been waiting for the light to come on, pun intended. 7K miles, over 6 months from purchase, still no light. Now I am wondering if it even has this "option"? Doesn't have outside temperature, for what it's worth. Thanks, Our 2011 has this feature - comes up in the left message center apparently. However, the factory default is set at 10,000 miles. Since I change our oil every 5K, it hasn't come up. I think 10K is too long between oil changes, even with better oils and engines. The service guy said that they could change the function so that it comes up each 5K. I'll probably take him up on this at the next opportunity. Ryan Lapeer
The manual states to change the oil every 7500 miles. I didn't see anything about a light.
c_bova
on the 2011+ it isn't actually a set mileage but it's based off your driving. for instance I drive a majority of highway with some city and after 3.5k miles it says I have 60% oil life left. Granted I'll be changing mine ever 5k. Edited August 20, 2012 by c_bova
richy
There's no light but it gives you the percentage of oil life left.
f150bft
I don't think the '10 model had this function. I can't find it on ours if it does!
