spongers
Does anyone know what the rubber mats at the bottom of the cup holders on a 2011 SEL are called? I lost one of them and tried to find them on the fordparts.com website but couldn't and didn't really want to make the trek to the dealer if I didnt have to. ablb
Over the years this or a similar question has come up. What are these little pads in a bag for? etc Some make-ready depts. don’t install them. You could use the search feature but I doubt you’ll find any info about your 2011. You might as well head for your parts dept. When you find the name and part # could you update this for future reference? sorry ab
perrycj
Part # 1L2Z78046B76AAA Tascaparts.com has it for $13.00 plus shipping.
spongers
Thanks Perry, that was probably the most useful post someone has provided in a long time.
Tacyon
Good .. now I can say that they're called " rubber mats at the bottom of the cup holders" :hysterical2: sry - couldn't help myself.
Wulfgott
They are on the ford parts website if you want to spend 20 bucks for one.. :-( I thought I had lost one 3 months after I got my vehicle. However, yesterday,... really no kidding... yesterday it turned up. How it got lost is an annoying story... But, basically don't let your brother buy a LARGE panda express soda and put it in the front cup holder.. that little "cup holder mat" is an exact fit for the bottom of the cup. vt4278
Yea i just paid 20.00 for one at the dealer and noticed my FRONT ONE IS MISSING TOO! $40 for cup holder mats! ARGH!
Road Dog
I lost one, took a trip to hobby lobby and bought a small sheet of the black foam rubber for about $5. My scissor skills may be lacking, but no one can tell
kc300c
I almost through one of mine away with my soda can when the pad stuck to the bottom of the sticky can. I took mine out a while back. Some of the cans and cups I wouldn't sit right and wobbled. Really annoying. They are either buried in a box or on a shelf somewhere or I threw them out. OK all you do-it-yourselfers, time to come up with a cheap and easy replacement. Not a sexy mod, but a mod none the less :-)
Platinum White
I cut some short nap carpet and put it in the holes, used the original rubber ones for a pattern. It quiets my stainless steel cups and will absorb a small amount of liquid. :hyper:
egar
I used an old mouse pad and cut to the size of the bottom of the cup holders. I put the printed side down, so only the black rubber shows. I guess it was about 3/16" thick and provides excellent padding.
CARR142
You could try a dealers make-ready department and may get one for a smaller sum of cash .
rwolson
Purchase black foam at a craft store or Lowes and Home Depot sell a roll of black cabinet shelf liner. Lots of options exist including recycling an old mouse pad like Egar mentioned.

Man, are we all cut from the same cloth!! I've been looking for the alternative as well because I went to the dealer and they wanted $20 each (when I was buying touch-up paint)...even the guy at the parts counter laughed when he looked it up and saw the price! When he said $20, I laughed thinking it was for the pair!! Egar...awesome idea, never thought of a mouse pad brother :shades: Now to find a drinking glass of the right size to use as a template. JOEHIO
Went to Staples today for some computer related stuff, and a new mouse pad. The mouse pad is black, measures approx 7 3/4 X 8 3/4, and cost only $3.99. Can make quite a few of these rubber mats for the price. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Maybe even use a cookie cutter for the shape you want!
Avery007
hmm well cookie cutter is the cheapest thing but if you want something good quality then you have to pay for that.. Other wise you can only use a piece of cloth or rubber piece for that thing. here is photos of a cup holder mat I hope you are searching for the same this thing. Mark94
If it,s not too much trouble, can I ask if someone can take a picture of the 2 cup holder mats? We picked up our edge last week and it looks like the 2 cup holders differ in size. I found one rubber cup holder insert floating in the center console for the larger holder but I didn't find another. I just thought since the 2nd holder is smaller, it didn't require a rubber insert. After reading this, I'm thinking we're missing one. Thanks for any help! Mark
JOEHIO
There should be a rubber insert for both the large and small cup holders.
Dingo
They have the same mats.
Brock79
My front one always seems to stick to cups and cans, the rear one doesn't ever come out. Are the majority of them the front ones getting lost? I lost one and found it the next day in the drive way after I backed out. The dealer did throw one in for free though, so I do have a spare. tdanuser
Thank you, Perry! That might've been the best response I've ever received on any board EVER. Just ordered one.
