grogie
I saw some snow tires on clearance and thought "There is no way I am running the stock 22 this winter" So I thought I would see the options for sizes. This is what I came up with using the calculator here; http://www.tiresizecalculator.info/guide.php 265/40/22 OEM 275 55/18, diameter diff: -1.44% , speed will read faster than actual. 235 65/18, diameter diff: -1.05% , speed will read faster than actual. 255 60/18, diameter diff: -0.99% , speed will read faster than actual. 265 60/18, diameter diff: +0.57% , speed will read slower than actual. 255 55/19, diameter diff: -1.00% , speed will read faster than actual. 275 55/19, diameter diff: +1.86% , speed will read slower than actual. 275 45/20, diameter diff: -1.98% , speed will read faster than actual. 255 50/20, diameter diff: -1.01% , speed will read faster than actual. I can't imagine the sport with 18 inch rims but I thought I would see all the options. I would like more side wall for sure because the pot holes are harder to see in the winter. I see allot of snow where I live, probably not a problem for allot of you lucky buggers. I think a narrower tire is better on snow and ice. I am thinking of going with the 255 50/20.
