tubby102
I had an intermittant turn signal, rear drivers side. I switched the lamp out with the opposite side and now I have no rear turn signals or brake lights ? The brake switch is ok as the brake light on the tail gate works. Lamps are all ok, they are on and I've checked them with a meter. It's an '08 limited Please help as the OPP are bound to pull me if I drive it ! Edgieguy
Check your fuses! I had this with My 2008 Limited. Apparently something in the wiring harness shorted and kept blowing fuses as soon as i put them in. New harness solved all the problems

Can we have a little more info? “Lamps are all ok, they are on and I've checked them with a meter.” Lamps = tail lights? “I've checked them with a meter.” The brake/turn bulb? Now a suggestion. Rule # 1 “always test the tester” (not your meter) Go buy new bulbs and install 1 in the passenger side only. Check to see if it works. Good luck ab
tubby102
Thanks for the info, you were right, test the tester. Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees. 2 new lamps are all is ok, dual filament lamps threw me ! Thanks again ! BLACK ICE
on my Edge had rear sockets do a meltdown . Changed to new bulbs when I fixed the problem but see its a common issue on these vehicles that Ford hasn't addressed . I'm thinking of changing to another dual filament bulb with less amp draw to prevent future meltdowns.
