Sean Forsberg
My mic is currently run behind the trim piece on the driver's side of the windshield then under the headliner. It is adhered to the middle of the windshield close to the rearview. Seems to be decent so far. Eatinitup - Keep in mind you can use AppRadio for free nav on the AVH series. That's why it wasn't worth the extra bucks for the AVIC for me. I would love to get this radio static issue sorted. Such a pain in the ass. Sean Forsberg
wannabang - Saw projector retrofit on your wishlist... Have you seen the new Spec-D projector and LED DRL headlights? I put them in mine with HIDs. Got them for $244 and am going to sell my stocks. http://www.carid.com/2009-ford-edge-headlights/spec-d-halo-led-projector-headlights-3621263.html
wannabang
Yeah, I've seen those, but ain't sure I like the way they look. I think the angled LED strip at the top throws off the natural lines of the car. I'm waiting to decide how I want Whiteis to do mine, or if someone comes out with another product. Good point on that AppRadio. I need to explore my unit a little more and move that mic.
Rachel Augst
Does this still allow the steering wheel controls to work?

carguy75
Very nice install!!! Only one thing i noticed maybe. I can not tell if you used only tape to cover your connectors, but if you did i would go back and solder the wire connections and use heat-shrink wrapping over the connections. And then I would use tape on the wires keep it then all neat and tidy. If you have did that that already disregard my criticism. I do see a soldering iron in one of the pictures, so hopefully it was used. Very nice work overall.
