Edgieguy
I'm trying to match an adhesion promoter to the type of plastic used in interior of the Edge. Specifically, in the rear cargo area. Does anyone know what type of plastic it is? PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) PP (Polypropylene) TPU (Thermoplastic Urethane) ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) PET (Polyester) RIM (Reaction Injection Molded)

Check this stuff out: http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/en001/auto_marine_aero/pro_market/node_GSJ0GZ223Nbe/root_GST1T4S9TCgv/vroot_CX2WXLSHJ7ge/gvel_H218BH2BV8gl/theme_us_attachmenttapes_3_0/command_AbcPageHandler/output_html BTW... what you painting? Tribby2001
The curver plastic bezel above my Tachometer, Speedometer, Temp and Fuel gauge broke off from it's four plastic attachment points. It is cosmetically fine. It is simply no longer physically secured to the dash panel. Does anyone know what type of plastic glue would securely bond to this plastic? fit1446
All of those glued and epoxies are a waste of money IMO.?your either going to find soneobcwith a plastic welder or replace it.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Never thought the binnacle (?) was separate from the dash! I believe this is the part number (light stone, charcoal black ends in AE): Instrument Panel Dash-Cluster Bezel 7T4Z78044D70AA
Tribby2001
I don't thnk my broken piece is available separately. It's part of a larger part that would have to be replaced. Part# 7T4Z78044D70AE Charcoal for my light stone interior. Edited October 23, 2016 by Tribby2001
Tribby2001
FYI- Expensive High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) glue PPX5 Adhesive Kit http://www.iplasticsupply.com/materials/adhesives-and-cleaners/ http://newswire.net/newsroom/pr/00083187-hdpe-sheet-bonding-the-unbondable.html I think I'll try J-B Weld's PlasticWeld epoxy first :-)
