drew84
I've been browsing around on the forum for about a month now, and am loving the information. First off, I want to thank all the Edge owners for the excellent information on this forum. My wife and I are shopping around for our next crossover. We both are pretty much set on the Edge, and are excited to make the purchase. We have been looking at the SE and SEL models. We actually drove a Kona Blue SE, and fell in love. I like the MFT that is available in the SEL model, but she likes the lower price on the SE better. We are planning to drive a SEL next weekend to just compare some of the features in it that the SE does not have. We are likely going to do a 24 month lease when we do make up our minds on which model to get. We have never leased a vehicle before, and are excited to try something new. We currently drive a 02 Pontiac Grand Prix, which has been a great car. It has about 150,000 miles, and we are needing something a bit more roomy since we have a 1 year old son that is king of the back seat now. Again, thanks for all the great information here, and I hope to be posting again in a few weeks with pictures of the new ride!
JOEHIO
IF ypo're concerned on price difference between a SE and SEL, have the dsealer give you a lease payment on both cars. The monthly lease payment might not be that much different between the two, give it a shot. Edited April 10, 2011 by JOEHIO
drew84
This past Saturday my wife and I went to the local dealership with the intent to drive a SEL, and another SE. We ended up finding a 2011 tuxedo black SEL that was a demo car. It has 5,000 miles on it, but is in excellent condition. The asking price was $28,000. We ended up driving it home for the weekend, and the rest is history. We are throwing some numbers back and forth to try to get our monthly payment as low as possible now, but we hope to sign the papers later today. This is by far the most awesome vehicle we have ever drove. We had no problems at all with the MyFord Touch system like I have seen some others on here have. The only issues are the learning curve involved with the MFT and what all it can do.
