3 Bar Grille
From the gang at Autoweek: Seems like the Edge is a better deal. OUR TAKE: There’s a lot to like about the MKX; we just don’t know if this upscale vehicle is different enough from its cheaper sibling to justify the more than $8,000 difference in base sticker. It’s essentially a super-deluxe Ford Edge with a bunch of creature comforts packed on. The MKX could definitely use more power and a more refined engine, too. This powertrain works well when paired with the lesser Ford, but in this luxury application, the 3.5-liter V6 seems anemic for the weight, especially on throttle kickdown when you really need to get going now. We’d also prefer a little more control of body roll; both the Lexus RX and the Acura MDX feature sportier handling characteristics than the MKX.
