kristymax
Hello, I'm a new member, and I wanted to find out if anyone is having, or has had trouble with their edge not shifting out of park. Mine has steadily gotten worse this last week. Sometimes I'll be sitting with my foot on and off the brake, and trying to get it to shift, for ages, and other times its fine! Any suggestions? Are there any recalls that might cause this? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Kristymax
carbonedge+
The only time I've noticed this on my '07 is when I grab the shifter just ahead of pressing the brake. Once I let go and reapply the brake then grab the shifter, it goes right into gear.
JOEHIO
Had a problem similar to this with my Explorer. There is a shift release mechanism in the console that had gotten gummed up, from too much spray of cleaning solutions mixing up with "dust". Had it replaced, all has been okay for over 2 years.
