cdubb
Hi all. Any idea on why my 5th gen iPod worked since I bought the Edge 3 weeks back and now it doesn't? When I press the USB button, it just displays a message that 'No Device is Detected'. Has anyone had this happen?

Try rebooting iPod and check the cables

Try rebooting iPod and check the cables I did reboot the iPod and also swaped out the cable for the one I use with my PC, still nothing. I've also shut off the car and started it too. I was debating on pulling fuse 29.
cdubb
I just tried my wife's Nano and it won't recognize that either. HELP!?!?!?!
cdubb
Is it worth pulling fuse 29? What all will that do?
akirby
Is it worth pulling fuse 29? What all will that do? It resets the sync module. If that doesn't fix it then your usb port is dead.
cdubb
I know the port isn't dead since it could read a flash drive last night. I'll pull it and see what happens. Do I need to have the ignition on when I do this? off? how long to keep it out?
cdubb
OK! Well, without proper "training" I went out and pulled 29. It solved the issue. My iPod is detected and plays fine. Weird stuff though. . . .
