ezflyr
Hi All, I ran over a piece of metal in the road and punctured one of the tires on my 2010 Ford Edge. As soon as I hit the object, I got a 'low tire pressure' warning, and immediately pulled over. After changing the tire, I rode for a half a day with the original tire in the back of the car, and noted that the TPMS message had changed to 'Tire Pressure Sensor Fault'. I assumed that was because the sensor was still sending a low pressure warning, yet the car was obviously moving, so the computer interpreted that as a sensor failure? The tire was just repaired, and the fault message persists. The repair did not involve removing the tire from the rim, so I don't think the sensor was disturbed, and the fault condition was present before the repair. Is this a reset issue, or am I looking at a new sensor? John Edited February 28, 2011 by ezflyr
