Does your knee rub the center console?

I am looking at a new 2011 Edge, and the test drive was great....

...except I noticed my knee/leg would rub on the molding along the side of the center stack. It's winter so I have pants on, but I could see wearing shorts in the summer and this being really annoying. The edge of the plastic is hard and sharp. It seems like a terrible design unless you keep your legs/knees in more of an upright position.

Anyone else annoyed by this?

Otherwise this seems like a great vehicle.

Thanks,

Kevin

this was one of the known issues with this car, it shows up in many reviews, labled because of "WIDE" console

just like the vehicles large blind sports... due to large A piller zone

and also rear direct view is obstruted due to rear seat headrests and a very tiny back window

otherwise i love my edge :)

Hows the leg room? I am 6'6. I can usually make do by pushing the seat all the way back. I really need to get out and test drive one soon.

It is fine.... I can't say I'm like in a first class airplane seat... but even those are small for us.... I feel comfortable, my head does not rub the roof, and most important, someone can seat behind me.

For very tall people this is sometime good, because is a way to rest our legs, just lean against the console, because our super long legs does not hung on the edge of the seat, so if we do not have anything on the sides to lean against, we end with the leg super tired after a long drive.
