Kevin A
I am looking at a new 2011 Edge, and the test drive was great.... ...except I noticed my knee/leg would rub on the molding along the side of the center stack. It's winter so I have pants on, but I could see wearing shorts in the summer and this being really annoying. The edge of the plastic is hard and sharp. It seems like a terrible design unless you keep your legs/knees in more of an upright position. Anyone else annoyed by this? Otherwise this seems like a great vehicle. Thanks, Kevin
Maritimers
Yes I hear you loud and clear.I am glad to hear someone else has the same problem. I thought it was because of my size ,6 feet and 235 lbs.LOL. My wife has a PT cruiser convertible and when she lets me drive I have about the same space available. ThinLine
If you are not comfortable in your driving position, then do not buy this vehicle. Being comfortable while driving is the most important aspect in purchasing a new vehicle.
Theakerr
Yes, but then depending on my angle of repose I have been able to do it in all the vehicles I have had with a centre console

kcshawn
I do... but I'm 6' 8.5" ... so that is my curse...... Hows the leg room? I am 6'6. I can usually make do by pushing the seat all the way back. I really need to get out and test drive one soon.
Edgieguy
I paid special attention to this today and even though Im only 6'00", My knee wasnt closer than 2 inches from the console. I guess I just sit straighter up. I do drop the rear of my seat all the way down and raise the front all the way up with a slightly reclined backrest. mitchjs
this was one of the known issues with this car, it shows up in many reviews, labled because of "WIDE" console just like the vehicles large blind sports... due to large A piller zone and also rear direct view is obstruted due to rear seat headrests and a very tiny back window otherwise i love my edge

I really need to get out and test drive one soon. It is fine.... I can't say I'm like in a first class airplane seat... but even those are small for us.... I feel comfortable, my head does not rub the roof, and most important, someone can seat behind me.
