DF2161
Hi everyone. I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited. I am completely in love with this car! Everything is working well. I have had only one "change" that I can't explain. I now have to do the remote start sequence TWICE to start it. I have only had the car since November and I used to be able to hit "lock" and then the 2x button twice and the car would start. Now I must do that sequence two times. I have to press "lock" and then the 2x button twice, then "lock" and the 2x button twice. Anyone have any thoughts? I do have two remotes but haven't tried the other one yet to see if that does the same thing - but I will. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this. The last Gen2 update may have messed things up. Try pressing unlock, lock, then remote start 2X. You can also press lock 2X plus remote start 2X but the horn will beep. Once you do a USB at home update this should be resolved Sorry I don't have update #'s for you but I'm sure someone else will chime in
tarponbeach
Same here. After the Gen2 dealer update, I would have to do the lock routine twice for it to start. After installing the latest update via USB, remote start is back to normal, only requiring 1 round of pushes on the remote
