hancop
Hi I was wondering if there was a way to have the 8 inch LCD play videos while driving or show the view from the rear view camera while driving. The video could be viewed by the front seat passenger and they could listen to it via headphones. The viewing out the rear view camera might be nice in the case where you are towing something and wanted a quick check of it. Before anyone explains why it is the way it is, I understand that as we don't want people watching video's while driving as this would be worse than playing with a cell phone while driving, but it would be nice for the passenger Thanks

That said, do a search for sync lockpick.

What do you want for $40k? Please let us know how that works out. SPLITVIEW front-seat entertainment system (Optional Equipment) An exclusive breakthrough in video technology allows the 8-inch high-resolution in-dash LCD screen to show two different displays to the driver and front passenger. So while the driver continues to enjoy all the functionality of the standard COMAND system, including audio, navigation and easy control of vehicle settings, the passenger can watch a DVD movie using the standard in-dash player, wireless remote and wireless headphones. The6thTemp
I just bought my 2011 Edge Sport on Friday and discovered the A/V inputs and was curious to see if I could play a movie and I COULD!! I have an iPod Nano and I have 2 movies on it. I also have (made by Griffin) and cable that has the 30 pin flat plug that goes into the bottom of the iPod and breaks it out to left, right audio RCA plugs and a yellow Video RCA plug as well. So I tried it! Once I hooked it all up, I went into the menu on the 8" LCD screen to the controls of my iPod and in the list under "Browse" it lists "Music" and "Movies"! So, I selected "Movies" and it brought up the list of my two movies and I pushed one. An couple of sceonds later there was my movie playing on the entire 8 inch screen!!! Once it starts the menu buttons are over the picture but if you wait a few seconds they go away!! Now I tried this in the driveway and I have yet to try it while driving. So I don't know if it will play while the car is in motion. I'll keep you posted!! Good Luck!!

Try getting into Valet Mode or change the Keypad code while in motion. It will ghost those buttons and disable them until you are sufficiently stopped. baum
This is why you need the vehilce in motion pieces. Without them you cant do it. you need to interupt the can-bus wires and this module does it.
