NYT RYDR
I traded in my '08 SEL AWD for an '11 Sport AWD. Gotta great deal and I can't wait to take a nice long road trip.
blitz118
Congrats. The car looks very good. How does it compare to your '08 SEL?
NYT RYDR
My '08 SEL had Vista, SYNC, and AWD. with Cloth interior. My '11 Sport Is completely loaded with every option available. The rides are completely different. I thought the Sport would have a tighter ride due to the 22" wheels but it actually rides much like the SEL, the real difference is in the handling the Sport is much better. The MyFord Touch is incredible and easy to use. I really, really like it.

nickbvt82
Hi all, new guy here, Just finanlized paperwork on 2011 sport, silver with nav, drivers entry and vision package. I think i got a good deal at 36000 plus tax (usaa car buying program plus a bit). Any thoughts on the deal. I also have to admit the delivery specialist who my saleperson warned me was a rather good looking lady my age and sold me on the auto armor middle package. I got it at just over 1/3 price she originally said ( from 1100 down to 400)....included undercarriage protection, and lifetime paint and interior coverage. Opinions?.. finally, the finance guy of course went though extended warranty...they were pushing the warranty solutions by wells fargo. for a 6 year 75K 5 star package (everything but regular wear) ; original price 1900, minus 750...i got it for 1150 which seems pretty good compared to online quotes i got before i went to the dealer...thoughts thanks for any inputs...ill get pics up when they become available
Rll420
wow, AWD or FWD ? If AWD thats a better deal than Z plan got me.
nickbvt82
AWD SPORT, the dealer said they had to go into holdback..whatever that is.
Ruissimo
That means he had to dig into his dealer "holdback" amount. Dealer holdback is a percentage of either the MSRP or invoice price of a new vehicle (depending on the manufacturer) that is repaid to the dealer by the manufacturer. Basically, he's telling you he cut his profit to give you a good price. Sounds like it... from the best prices I've seen so far, yours is probably the best one. What dealership was it, and where, if you don't mind me asking?
nickbvt82
Beach ford in virginia beach, va. They were great and even their first offer for my trade ( 05 mustang gt) was top end blue book (12k)..no low balling. any thoughts on the extended warranty for 115 bucks for 6 years 75k bumper to bumper. Rll420
For $115 ..What would be the reasons to not take it thats dirt cheap.
akirby
For $115 ..What would be the reasons to not take it thats dirt cheap. That was a typo. It was $1150 in the original post which makes more sense.

That's about $350 profit for the dealer (at least). You can do the same thing with scotchguard and some paste wax. As for the warranty - do not buy a wells fargo or any other 3rd party warranty. The dealer is also making a killing on that, which explains why they "got into the holdback" on the vehicle itself - they're making it up on the other stuff. Only buy a Ford ESP warranty if you really want one.
