I can't seem to find a way to get this view using my iphone either bluetooth or usb, by usb thumb drive or by usb ipod.
sboots88
That view does not currently exist, to the best of my knowledge. -steve

Here's the link It's the first vid shown called MyFord Touch.
sboots88
it may well be something we'll see in the future. Or it may be specific to the storage device/music player, but I've never seen that for my Zune before I gave up trying to handle control of the Zune via my Ford Touch and reverted to using the A/V inputs and controlling the Zune from the Zune. I kept encountering the "no playable files" issue and endless indexing when it did decide to recognize the player. Browsing podcasts was impossible, to say the least, so I gave up. ;-) -steve

wilsons66604
Does anyone know how to get this view of their music while browsing? I can't seem to find a way to get this view using my iphone either bluetooth or usb, by usb thumb drive or by usb ipod. The view does exist. I've used it Make sure your system is setup to display album art and to use the GraceNote database for the artwork. Park the car, browse music by album (there may be another button to see the carousel display) The trick is that you need to be stopped for this to display. also, The Gracenote database sucks! hardly any artwork I found this in an old post... The Touch manual says... Gracenote Cover Art on/off: When turned on, this feature will pull in cover art from the Gracenote Database for your music files. This will override any art from your device. This feature defaults to off. To view your album art in a 3D carousel: Press Browse > Music > Albums > Cover Art. If the Gracenote cover art feature (covered in the previous section) is turned on, you will be able to touch and drag the screen with your finger to view your album art. Tap on an album to select. Tulsa
Thank you, that worked and you're correct, Gracenote is garbage. I think in the end it's just easier to let it play random songs and forget it. Too bad, it was a nice concept feature.
sboots88
Ah! So it requires the crappy Gracenote cover art! No wonder I never saw it. :-) -steve
