Ford's server in Dearborn is having troubles today. They were unable to complete the update on my Edge.

They say my system is the same as it was when I brought it in.

I had wondered about that. Just how special can a USB cable be?

 

I had my vehicle in this morning for the update. I had called on Monday to confirm that the update was available for them to install and the service coordinator said it shouldn't be a problem to find it.

 

So today, after they have had my car for 4 hours, they say they can't install it because they don't have the "special" cable! I said I thought it was just a USB cable and they said "Oh no, it's a "special" cable". Ford is shipping it out to them and I have to wait.

 

Needless to say, I am not happy. If it turns out to be a regular USB cable in "special" Ford packaging, I will be even less so.

Just spoke to my service tech. Said they fully downloaded the update but now my navigation is lost. The Main Ford site went down or crashed this afternoon so they will try again tomorrow

They lost the Nav and backup camera during this update

 

 

Thankfully they couldn't finish the download at my dealership
