tire pressure sensor with new wheels

Now with new wheels my tire pressure sensor light is on.

Is there a way to disactivate the light from the dash?

Or should I just put the sensors on the new wheels? (is this posible?) What have you guys with after market wheels done in this situation.

Hi edge10. :D No, at this point in time, the TPMS system cannot be disabled/deactivated.

 

Essentially, you have several choices.

1 - Install sensors on the new wheels.

2 - Cover the light with a piece of tape.

3 - Learn to live with it.

Hi edge10. :D Forgot option #4 - You can hit the Information Center's "RESET" button and it will temporarily turn off the TPMS light. However, at best the warning light will return the next time you restart the vehicle.
