MrHappy
So we picked up our new 2011 Sport today and our phones (a Samsung Saga Windows Mobile 6.1) had no issues connecting and transferring address books, info, etc however if try to make or receive a call the sound is completely unusable to the point where it sounds like static am radio mixed with a blender (I'm not exagerating). The bluetooth signal strength is great and everything connects fine but calls both in and out are non functional. It dials but you can't hear a thing and neither can the other party. I tried this with both my and my wife's phone (same model) with the same result. My phone uses its bluetooth in my car (a Chrysler) all the time without static. Is this a known issue? Can't even venture what it is since the bluetooth connects, doesn't drop, reads data, dials and connects, receives calls but has unusable voice quality. I've tried moving the phone around in the car too with no change. Any ideas?
ablb
We have a Samsung (something) and a Motorola (backflip) and both HAD the same problem. Our old Motorola razrs did not have any problems, so its really not a Ford problem its a Microsoft problem. Try this, I found it here http://fordsyncforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=global§ion=login or maybe here, cant remember https://secure.syncmyride.com/Own/Modules/UserManagement/Login.aspx When youre not in the Edge make a call. During the call turn the volume all the way down. Hang up. Get in your Sport and make a call. Dont adjust the volume on THE Edge.Adjust the volume on your Samsung. You only have to do it once. It helped ours, hope it works for you. ab Edited November 27, 2010 by ablb
