ijjcford
I bought a 2011 Edge SEL with MyFord Touch without Navigation because my wife did not want Leather. Is the MyFord Touch display hardware (wIthout Nav) different then the one with Nav? I would think it is more of a softare install. Is their a way I can purchase a software upgrade for Navigation? When I took my Edge in because of a Sync issue the tech did a flash and my backup camera and Sirius was not installed on the main display. He told me that he had to install the apps again using a USB drive. depending on the cost I might consider this if it can be done and Ford will allow it. John It can't be done yet because it requires a software upgrade that only comes from the factory. It's expected this will be available in the near future. Eddgie
May be you are better off without Navigation. I bought Edge SEL with Panoramic vista Roof, Navifation and since the first day, the navigation is not working at all. they said bring it tomorrow and tried to fix and does not work. Now they are telling Ford has accepted that there is some software problem and its on some handfull vehicles and do not have any fix yet. Seems it takes 2 hours to just take out the navigation unit and then dealer has to get some sort of connecting wire to load the software again.... wait until all these bugs are taken care of - Paid $795 for navigation and it does not work.....its a rip off. The hand held units just cost $150 or so and work great...

I had questioned why I opted for it but have learned to really like it. Mine works fine. I get the speed limit signs on the 4" display. When low on gas, the gas station POIs display on the nav screen automatically. It integrates with all the sync services (google maps for one). Plus the voice integration and at some point, the address book integration.
