LaserAjax Posted December 2, 2010 Report Share Posted December 2, 2010 I also have a similar problem with my Edge 2011. And the problem is not static, it evolves in one way or the other ! Started with an issue with Voice recognition not working when the radio was on. Then the problem simply disappear by magic. Now, I'm not able to pair by Black Berry anymore. The pairing starts, the number appears on the screen and then a message says that the pairing failed. I have talked to the Operation Manager at my dealer in Montreal. The guy got instruction from Ford not to attempt any software/Firmware update until further notice. The update could actually make it worse. He hopes (and I hope as well!) that a bulletin from Ford will come shortly with instructions on how to update the system. Annoying indeed... Everything seems ok (ish) with the exception of talking on our cell via bluetooth (pairs but audio in completely scrambled) and we had 1 Sync reboot to date. I am just wondering it says your software revisions are. Could you please log in there and post what software revs you do have on your system. I am wondering if some of the newer cars have newer versions that are giving issue. Here is the list of my software and mine has never been updated, never shown problems and car was built in August/September timeframe (cant remember exactly). Confirmed installations BT4T-14D545-BA BT4T-14D546-AD BT4T-14F496-AD BT4T-14F497-AD SYNC compatible software BT4T-14F603-AD Waiting to download 0 items. I would like to check the software rev. but it now has a new unprogramable module and No software; and it is still at the Dealer's Service Dept. I Still have a DEAD EDGE going on 3 weeks in Service Dept. at FORD and NO FIX....... Service Advisor called and said Ford is on a Fishing Expedition and does not know how to fix it!!!
