tpm419419
I was under the impression that a DVD could be played while the vehicle was in Park. I tried playing Happy Feet this morning but got a disc error. Am I doing something wrong or was I just misinformed? Thanks

It will display the video from a source plugged int the RCA jacks in the console
noahjb
I was under the same impression as well, only because my salesperson told me so. Just tried a movie and of course nothing... now I read this. Think there is any recourse I can take against my dealer? Not that it is that big of a deal, not looking to return the car or anything. Just curious what I should ask for when I go back in...
Edgieguy
I too was told that the cd player could play a dvd on the center screen. so much for misinformation.

That said, if they specifically said it would play DVDs then you might be able to get a few free oil changes or something like that.
noahjb
You are prob right about salespeople knowing less than the buyers. Mine also told me there was a built in hard drive and that you could automatically burn CDs to, therefore eliminating the need for a multi disc player. Havent found this to be true - if it is, could someone please instruct me on how to do this? Either way my dealer is getting a call today. More to come.. Ā I think the dealers are getting confused between the Fusion and Edge. The Fusion can play DVD's and has a hard drive for ripping CD's. The Edge does not. Your Salesman needs to pull his head out of his ass and understand what this new vehicle is. There is no hard drive either Ā Ā
akirby
The hard drive did exist on the pre-2011 models (some at least). It was part of the hard drive based Navigation system. The salesperson just didn't realize they changed it for the 2011 Edge models.
hunter4814
A salesperson (not the one I bought from) told me the projector lights in my Edge Sport turn with the wheels (aka. adaptive headlights). I just smiled and nodded... These people really need to get their stuff straight.
kona5-0
I have noticed, if you have the Sony system there are more toys. I just have the screen with the My Ford Touch. I does not have quite as many features as the Sony system.
Yasmin Mosca
I am happy with my ford Edge, everyone seems to like it. The sync system works perfectly with my iphone. The wifi spot also works pretty good, I will upgrade from 3g to 4g. It is very fun to drive.
