CanuckG35
Wow, that really bites. I ordered mine with HIDs last month, but I haven't heard of any delays on delivery. Hopefully not.
johnd01
I ordered mine last month and was supposed to be built last week. I haven't heard of any delays either. But curiously, the window sticker for my VIN still isn't showing up at http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com yet either.

Dreamss
Holly crappers! When did you order your truck? I live in Montreal and ordered my truck on Sept. 29th. I got my VIN Oct. 14. I was told by the dealer the anticipated production date was today Oct. 25th BUT he saw a code on my order which meant something was back ordered on the truck. He said he had a production date and no delivery date. He asked me if I chose the 20" wheels instead of the stock 18's, I said yes and he said from what he had heard, these mags where back ordered. He said they would produce my truck and make it wait for the wheels, I was like that's crappy, where, in some lot out back in the elements as opposed to my heated garage? Now reading your email, maybe it's the HID's that are back order and not the rims, gonna make a call and see if I can get any updates. Think about it this way, maybe some of the bugs will be fixed before your truck is built, that's what I was hoping! I wouldn't remove the HID's, they are really nice and you should get the truck the way you wanted it. I wish the BLISS was back ordered, I don't want it any more. Dreamss
What you about Dreamss? Where did you order from! And how did u get your VIN so quickly? I ordered my Edge Limited on September 27th from Circuit Ford on Henri-Bourassa East Called dealer for my VIN around 8pm on October 14th, the claim to have just received it that evening (I doubt they would have called me with it, I followed up with them) Got my window sticker on October 18th Now, I have the upgraded 20's and the HID's ordered on it. The dealer told me the order had no delivery date, only an anticipated production date of October 25th. He said it was coded with some letters meaning an item was back ordered, he guessed it was the mags but wasn't sure and it didn't specify. To be honest, the later I get my car, the better, I didn't want it before New Years actually, I ordered when I did simply to get the employee pricing but I needed some money I was expecting in January to cover the down payment! If I get told there is a delay in some parts, no prob, but the dealer said it would get built and simply put aside waiting for the other parts to come in..that pisses me off. Build my car when you have all the parts, less risk of damages with a car sitting around doing nothing. I asked and was told when I ordered my car that it would only go into production in November as October was full, I was happy to hear that cause that was a concern when ordering, I would have had an extra month to save up and be closer to my money coming in. I don't know if the dealer push a rush on the order or coded it with a high priority but it's moving faster than I wanted...guess I'm the opposite of what most want lol. Greener
Hello all from Kitchener, I just ordered mine this past Monday. Are you getting the VIN/build dates from a web site or the dealer? Also, it appears that the order/delivery time is approximately 6-8 weeks. Is this holding true? Steve

The only thing I managed to get out of the dealer was my order number, he wasn't very helpful at all. With that I got the order status & VIN from Ford Customer Relations. 1-800-565-3673.
